Proud to Be a Published Photographer in Northern New Jersey

As a Northern NJ photographer specializing in newborn, maternity, and family imagery, I’ve always been drawn to the emotional heart of storytelling. Before Angela Beth Studio was even born, I would sit and flip through the pages of Feels Like Family magazine, inspired by the raw beauty and vulnerability of the work shared within.

To now be featured in the magazine, with two full spreads and the title Story Worthy Photographer – Artist of the Season, is something I never imagined would come full circle so soon. It’s an honor I will always carry with deep gratitude.

Petals & Portraits for a Cause – Giving Back Through Photography

One of the sessions featured was my Petals & Portraits series, held right here in Northern New Jersey, with proceeds benefiting maternal mental health. This project blended my love for intimate motherhood photography with my passion for advocacy and mental health support.

As a maternity and family photographer serving Bergen County and Morris County, it’s important to me that my work goes beyond the image. I want it to serve, to hold space, and to reflect the beauty in real, everyday connection.

This fundraising event reminded me: Beautiful things happen when you go after what’s in your heart. You can absolutely build a business rooted in meaning, one that blends creativity, compassion, and community impact.

A Quiet Fatherhood Story – The Power of Presence

The second feature was a first birthday session I submitted for their fatherhood spotlight. It took place in the soft light a family’s home, where the small family of three shared sweet moments together.

This session reminded me that fatherhood doesn’t have to be loud to be powerful. Sometimes, the simplest gestures, the way a child smiles at a parents, or the stillness of being read to, say the most.

As a family and newborn photographer in Northern NJ, these are the moments I truly love to capture. The subtle, unscripted scenes that reflect the soul of a family, allow you to feel comfortable in front of the camera, and give space to just be yourself.

To be featured alongside so many talented artists is truly and honor. Feels Like Family is more than a journal, it’s a deeply moving curation of imagery, poetry, story, and community. Leah Starkey has created something so rare and special, and I’m beyond grateful to be part of it.
